Le Bénin, représenté par le bjCSIRT, a participé à l’édition 2025 du Global CyberDrill, un événement organisé par l’International Telecommunication Union (ITU) du 6 au 8 mai 2025 au Dubai World Trade Center, dans le cadre du GISEC GLOBAL. Ce rassemblement d’envergure mondiale a réuni des équipes techniques issues de plus de 150 pays, venues renforcer leurs capacités en matière de cybersécurité à travers des exercices collaboratifs et immersifs.
Au cours de l’événement, le bjCSIRT a pris part à quatre scénarios CyberRange, notamment la détection d’une compromission APT, une enquête OSINT sur une attaque terroriste, une campagne de phishing ciblant une institution financière, ainsi qu’un exercice d’analyse et de déchiffrement de ransomware. Ce dernier a été suivi d’un panel d’échange sur les ransomwares, durant lequel les participants ont partagé leurs expériences et bonnes pratiques face à ce type de menace.
L’édition 2025 du Global CyberDrill, organisée dans le cadre du GISEC Global, a été marquée par la réalisation de 11 records Guinness, dont celui du plus grand nombre de nationalités ayant participé à une formation cybersécurité gamifiée et de la plus grande session sur le cyberharcèlement. L’invitation du bjCSIRT par l’ITU témoigne de la reconnaissance croissante du rôle du Bénin dans l’écosystème international de la cybersécurité.

Benin, represented by bjCSIRT, participated in the 2025 edition of the Global CyberDrill, an event organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), held from May 6 to 8, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Center as part of GISEC GLOBAL. This major international gathering brought together technical teams from over 150 countries, aiming to strengthen their cybersecurity capabilities through collaborative and immersive exercises.
During the event, bjCSIRT took part in four CyberRange scenarios, including the detection of an APT compromise, an OSINT investigation into a terrorist attack, a phishing campaign targeting a financial institution, and a ransomware analysis and decryption exercise. The latter was followed by a panel discussion on ransomware, during which participants shared their experiences and best practices for addressing this type of threat.
The 2025 edition of the Global CyberDrill, held as part of GISEC Global, was marked by the achievement of 11 Guinness World Records, including the highest number of nationalities in a gamified cybersecurity training and the largest session on cyberbullying.The invitation extended to bjCSIRT by the ITU reflects the growing recognition of Benin’s role in the global cybersecurity ecosystem.
